Christchurch teenager Izzy Leighs is selling her popular coffee cafe on Bealey Avenue.
Izzy’s Café & Coffee Bar, opened in June last year and has been a favourite with locals ever since.

In a Facebook message posted today Izzy wrote “ sad news – Izzy’s Café & Coffee Bar’s last day of operation will be Saturday 26 June 2021.”
The café is located on a site which is zoned residential by the Christchurch City Council.
“After the earthquakes, the council gave temporary accommodation permission for the cafe, as a business, to operate on this site. This permission expires on 30 June 2021.”

“If you have a coffee card with at least five clicks on it prior to Sunday 20 June, come in between 21 and 26 June and we’ll make you a free coffee.”
In June last year Izzy told Chris Lynch “I decided to work with local suppliers to get the freshest, best quality, most delicious produce and I’ve managed to hire two of Christchurch’s friendliest, legendary baristas.”
“The suppliers have been so good to me, teaching me the ropes, and I’m having fun working with my baristas – they’re coffee-making pros and I love to see people walk off with a great coffee, delicious food and a big smile.”
The cafe is featured on Trade Me.
