Addington petrol station cordoned off, man seriously injured

Christchurch police have cordoned off the Z petrol station on Lincoln Road this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media police were called to the service station around 4.50pm.

A man was found injured.

He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The entrance to the service station on Barrington Street has been blocked off and is being patrolled by police officers.

The other entrance on Lincoln Road is also blocked off by police.

Police officers can be seen taking photos of the scene outside the petrol station on the forecourt.

The police spokeswoman said police are making inquiries, including at a nearby address, to determine what has taken place.
