Fire services at the scene of two fires in Christchurch

Fire And Emergency services are at the scene of two fires in Christchurch.

A spokesperson said the first call was received at 3.33pm to multiple fires along the railway lines between Brougham St and Ensors Road.

Four appliances and one tanker are in attendance.

A second call was received at 3.40pm to multiple fires along the railway lines near Ferrymead Park Dr.

There are no properties under threat at either of these fires and both are under control.

Ensors Rd has opened to one lane northbound, motorists are advised to take extra care and to expect some delays in the area.
