But The Christmas Collective is about much more than simply buying decorations.
The store aims to recreate the excitement and wonder of Christmas, offering families the opportunity to wander through colourful displays, discover something unexpected and enjoy the festive atmosphere together.
For children, it is a chance to experience the magic of the season, while adults can rediscover some of the excitement and nostalgia of Christmases gone by.

The Christmas Collective first launched in Christchurch in 2024, with the idea of creating a Christmas shopping experience that was different from the usual retail offering.
Its popularity helped the New Zealand owned business expand beyond Canterbury, and this year it also has stores at The Base in Hamilton and Albany Mega Centre in Auckland.

The expansion is an exciting achievement for a business that began with a single Christchurch store just two years ago.
Back in Christchurch, its return to South City Shopping Centre provides another reason for families to head into the central city as the countdown to Christmas begins.
