A person has been taken to hospital after their car flipped upside down in the Christchurch suburb of Opawa this morning.
A police spokesperson said emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash on Brougham Street, near Opawa Road, at around 11.25am.
The road was partially blocked while crews worked at the scene, and contractors were called in to assist.
A St John spokeswoman said one ambulance was sent to the crash.
Staff assessed and treated one patient, who was transported to Christchurch Hospital in a moderate condition.
