A van has rolled in South Canterbury this evening.

Emergency services were called to Pareora, 14 kilometres south of Timaru on State Highway One.

An eyewitness said members of the public were pulling people out of the van before emergency services arrived.

A police spokeswoman said the single vehicle collision happened near Pooke Road about 8pm.

There were no road blockages and two people have minor/moderate injuries.
