Police are investigating a burglary at a Four Square in West Melton early this morning.

A police spokesperson told chrislynchmedia.com officers were called to a commercial premises on Weedons Ross Road just after 3.10am.

Entry was gained to the store, but not using a vehicle.

The offenders fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved and the vehicle, the spokesperson said.

Fire and Emergency crews were initially dispatched, but were stood down after it became clear a fog cannon had been activated during the burglary.
