Indie pop artist Georgia Knight is set to return to New Zealand with her live band, bringing an expanded and immersive show to audiences across the country.

The Australian singer, songwriter and musician divides her time between Lyttelton and Melbourne.

The Naarm born performer will play Space Academy in Christchurch on Thursday 09 April, followed by Whammy in Auckland on Saturday 11 April and San Fran in Wellington on Sunday 12 April.

General ticket sales begin at 9am on Friday 27 February through Banished Music.

The tour follows Knight’s standout solo appearance at The Others Way festival, where her performance drew strong praise.

Boiler Room reviewer Chris Schulz said, “Georgia Knight just stole the damn show.”

Knight’s music blends autoharp, layered loops, synth textures and experimental pop elements, creating a distinctive sound that has gained growing international attention. Her 2023 EP Hell on Bent Street helped cement her reputation as an emerging talent, alongside festival appearances at Dark Mofo, Rising and Camp A Low Hum, as well as support slots for Blonde Redhead and Mogwai.

The past year has marked a significant period for Knight with the independent release of her debut album Beanpole. The record received critical acclaim, with KEXP describing it as “an evocative set of dimly lit, hypnotic, psych tinted pop,” while BBC Radio 6 Music and other reviewers praised her vocal range and atmospheric live performances.

Knight supported the album with appearances at major festivals including The Great Escape in the United Kingdom, Golden Plains and Phoenix Central Park in Australia, along with New Zealand events The Others Way and Port Noise.

Her upcoming tour will showcase Beanpole in a new live format, with the album recorded alongside producer Andrew Idge Hehir and reimagined for a fuller stage presentation described as intimate and cinematic.

Alongside the tour announcement, Knight has also released a reworked version of her single Desire, featuring additional production from Christchurch based musician and producer Chris Wethey. The updated track builds on the original 2025 release, offering a further glimpse into Knight’s evolving sound.
