One person has died after being struck by a train on Lincoln Road in Addington, early this morning.

A police spokesman said police were notified at 3.30am that a person riding an e-scooter had been struck by the train and died at the scene.

Road closures are in place to allow the Serious Crash Unit to undertake an examination of the scene.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
