A 17 year old man has been arrested and charged following a firearms incident in Hornby on Christmas Day.
Police said they received calls shortly after 6.30pm on 25 December reporting a male being chased by others in the Hornby area, with one person seen carrying a firearm.
A person was later located at hospital with a suspected gunshot wound, which police said was not life threatening.
Detective Sergeant Luke Vaughan said the teenager was arrested today and will appear in the Youth Court tomorrow charged with wounding with reckless disregard for the safety of others.
Vaughan said the youth also faces additional charges in relation to the incident.
