A car has crashed into a tree in Avonside tonight.

Emergency services received a call at 9.40PM to the single vehicle crash on the corner of Patten Street and Retreat Road.

The area is in the red zone.

Two Fire and Emergency crews were called along with St John ambulance.

The driver of the car has been attended to by paramedics.
