Henstock said she was committed to working closely with Mayor Phil Mauger, fellow councillors, and local communities to ensure the council makes thoughtful and practical decisions that benefit residents.
“I’m looking forward to getting on with the job and continuing to represent Papanui and our wider city with integrity, passion, and purpose,” she said.
Mayor Phil Mauger said “This is a great opportunity for Victoria to take a step up and work alongside me as Deputy Mayor for the term.
I think we will work well together with Victoria’s approach and legal background complementing and contrasting my style.”
