Emergency services have been called to Lakewood Drive.
St John and Fire and Emergency crews responded to the incident, along with police just after 4PM.
A police spokeswoman said officers were assisting other services who were helping an injured person.
A harmful substance was involved, with crews in protective gear carrying out decontamination procedures following the incident.
A decontamination unit has been set up outside the house.
The road was blocked off about an hour after emergency services first arrived.
