Christchurch Hospital has confirmed it experienced an outage of its digital systems last night.

A spokeswoman said that around 7.30pm, a digital systems outage involving their external provider temporarily affected several clinical applications at Christchurch Hospital and other regional sites.

“This was resolved quickly by our provider, working alongside our network engineers, and connectivity was restored within the hour.”

A hospital staff member told chrislynchmedia.com that all systems were affected during the incident.

There has been no confirmation yet on what caused the fault.
