Emergency services have been called to a single vehicle crash in Gebbies Pass.
A police spokesman said the crash was reported around 11:20am.
A St John spokesperson said they responded with a helicopter, ambulance and an operations manager attended.
A person was airlifted to Christchurch hospital in a moderate condition.
