Armed police have arrested a man in Linwood this morning.

A police spokeswoman says police were made aware of an incident where a man was behaving in threatening manner at an address on Buckleys Road.

The Armed Offenders Squad responded as a precaution due to the nature of the incident and cordons were put in place.

She said the man was arrested without incident and no one was injured.

Police remain at the scene.
