Police are hunting for two offenders who forced their way into a Christchurch house threatening a resident at gunpoint.
A police spokeswoman said they were called to Jutland Street in North New Brighton just after 11 PM last night.
She said two people reportedly threatened the occupant of the address with a firearm and demanded money.
They stole cigarettes and alcohol.
The offenders left the scene in a vehicle.
The police spokeswoman said police are making enquiries to locate those involved.
