Police execute pre-planned search warrant in Leithfield

A man has been arrested on a serious drug charge, following a police operation in Leithfield.

A local resident reported seeing multiple police vehicles and what appeared to be a police mobile command unit in the area.

A police spokesman told Chris Lynch Media police executed a pre-planned search warrant at a residential address in Leithfield this morning.

 A 37-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with supplying methamphetamine.

He was due to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Thursday.
