A popular bakery in Barrington has been targeted by criminals early this morning.
A police spokeswoman said they were notified of a burglary at a shop on Barrington Street around 4:40am.
The shop is Coupland’s Bakery.
The spokeswoman said it’s unclear if a vehicle was used and no descriptions of the offenders were given.
A video sent to Chris Lynch Media shows a the large front window of the store completely smashed.

When Chris Lynch Media called the store, a manager said the police officer who attended said she had attended 15 similar incidents on small businesses in the past three weeks in Christchurch.
