A person has been seriously injured in a crash this morning in Christchurch

A St John spokesman said they were notified of the incident on Ti Rakau Drive and Dyers Road at 7.33am.

An ambulance and a rapid response unit was sent to the scene.

One patient was assessed at the scene and was transported to Christchurch Hospital (by ambulance) in a critical condition.
