A person has been injured following an assault in Phillipstown in Christchurch.
A resident on Oliviers Road said there were several police cars on the street, including a dog unit.
A police car was parked up on the footpath with its emergency lights flashing.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 10:30 AM.
A St John spokesperson said St John was notified of the incident in Phillipstown.
One ambulance and one rapid response vehicle responded.
The spokesperson said a patient was transported to Christchurch Hospital in a moderate condition.
A police spokesperson confirmed the situation was related to a family harm incident.
