5 youths arrested for dangerous driving in Christchurch

Five youths have been arrested following a dangerous driving incident in Spreydon.

Police were called to the area just after midday after reports of two vehicles driving dangerously in the area.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media the occupants were located on Willard Street and taken into custody without incident.

The two vehicles, which were stolen, were located nearby.

One of the vehicles was located on Meadowville Street with its back window smashed in.

An eyewitness said one of the youths looked about 11 years old.
