Police are at the scene of a serious crash on Ardgowan Road, Oamaru.

Emergency services were alerted to a car that rolled between Homestead and Redcastle Roads at around 6:30pm.

Two people are reported to be critically injured.

Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
