Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on the Christchurch Akaroa Road.

They were called to the scene involving two motorcycles and a van at about 5.45pm.

A police spokeswoman said two people have been injured – one moderate injuries the other minor.

Contractors have closed the road a Long Bay Road.

NZTA said motorists will experience delays.
