Two people involved in last night’s crash in Richmond fled the scene on foot.
Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on the corner of Slater Street and Warden Street at 9.34pm.
A Fire and Emergency Shift Manager told Chris Lynch two appliances from Christchurch central station
When they arrived, all occupants were out of the vehicles and no one was trapped.
The second Fire and Emergency truck was stood down.
The ute involved in the crash was in the middle of Slater Street, while the other vehicle was stationed further down the road on Warden Street.
A police spokeswoman said the occupants of one of the vehicles left the scene on foot.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate those involved at the time.
The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the occupants that left the scene.
Warden Street was blocked off in both directions.
