A Christchurch kindy is currently in lockdown due to police presence in the area.
A parent contacted Chris Lynch Media asking if there was any news about why Merivale was currently in lockdown.
The screenshot of the message from Fairleigh Kindergarten said: “We are currently under lockdown due to police presence in the area. All children are safe. We will update when lifted.”
Fairleigh Kindergarten is on Garden Road, Merivale.
Comment from NZ Police was not immediately available.
