SPCA & police at Yaldhurst property part of “ongoing investigation”

Police and SPCA officers are investigating a rural property in Yaldhurst.

Multiple SPCA officers have been examining a horse located on Hasketts Road property.

SPCA Inspectorate Team Lead, Sam Cairns said “SPCA is currently at a property assisted by New Zealand Police, our presence at this property is part of an ongoing investigation and we are not able to comment further at this time.”

A police spokesperson confirmed they were assisting the SPCA and referred all questions to the agency.

Five SPCA vehicles and several police cars were parked outside the property.
