Police swarm Redwood properties in “ongoing investigation”

Several residents in Redwood were unable to return to their properties tonight, following an police investigation.

A police spokesman told Chris Lynch Media police were in Redwood conducting search warrants at two Grimseys Road residential addresses in relation to ongoing investigations.

In one of the search warrants, an item of concern was located and cordons were put in place as a precaution, the police spokesman said.

However, the item has since been made safe, and the cordons have been stood down.

 “As it relates to an ongoing investigation police are not in a position to go into further detail.”
