Police release name of man who died in Aranui crash

Police have formally released the name of the man who died following a crash in Aranui on Sunday.

He was 34-year-old Karl Paul Osborne of Christchurch.

Police were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Hampshire Street at 9.46pm.

He died at the scene.

In a statement police said “our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing a police spokesperson said.
