Person in serious condition after stabbing incident in Aranui

A person has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Aranui.

Emergency services were called to Eureka Street around 10am.

A police spokesman said a person has been taken into custody following an assault. 

A person was transported to Hospital in a serious condition.

The offender is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court today on charges of “wounds with intent to injure/ reckless disregard.”

Enquiries are ongoing to determine exactly what occurred the police spokesman said.
